Feel nostalgic nightlife at drinking alley -Omoide Yokocho

Shinjuku west exit surrounded by skyscrapers. At one corner in the downtown centers of this district, there is a nostalgic alley called Omoide Yokocho( ‘Drinking Alley of the Memory’) with small lane line up.  The atmosphere evokes the old Showa era.

Pubs and the bars as many as 30 houses like Yakitori, grilled chicken, Ramen noodles, Chinese food and soba are crowded together along the street with the full length 85m(279ft) . Putting shoulders each other in confined space over alcohol and tasty foods is the best part of Omoide Yokocho.

The secret of its popularity is casual ambience and everybody can fell feel to enter to any pubs.

Great combination of Yakitori and beer ! Omoide Yokocho is also called “Yakitori Yokoco”
