Cherry Blossoms 2016

 

Hello, I am owner of FEEL TOKYO.

Last week was the best timing to enjoy the view of cherry blossoms in Tokyo.

I would like to share these moment.

先週、東京では桜が見頃を迎えました。

 

Meguro River

One of the most popular cherry-blossoms viewing spot in Tokyo near Meguro station.

Approx.830 cherrry trees are planted along Meguro River in 3.8km.(12,500feet).

Zojoji is the temple located at base of Tokyo Tower.

 

 

 

Spring ancient court music and dance event was took place.

春の雅楽会が行われていました。

 

The period of cherry blossoms is very short.

As Japanese sprit, “fall bravely ” is regarded as aesthetics since ancient time.

Samurai sprit also regard how to fall (how to pass away) as important which is common with the fall of cherry blossoms.

We may feel the beauty of cherry blossoms because of thier short-lived moment.

 

桜はすぐに散ってしまいます。

日本人の心で潔く散る事に美学を感じるという部分が昔からあります。

武士道では散り際（死に方）を大切にしていて桜の散り方にも通じるところがあります。

桜ははかないからこそ美しさを感じるのでしょうね。
