This year is 10th anniversary and it’s the largest scale ever.
Also, gourmet all over the Japan gathers from Hokkaido to Okinawa !!
Very crowded !!
Yesterday’s main program was Aomori Nebuta Festival.
Aomori Nebuta Festival is the festival leading Japanese festival took placed in Aomori
(northen part of Japan) Prefecture in summer. It is counted among the three largest festivals in the Tohoku region.
“Nebuta” refers to the float of a brave warrior-figure which is carried through the center of the city,
while dancers wearing a unique type of costume called haneto (ハネト) dance around
in time with the chant Rasserā (ラッセラー)
(shorten dialectal version of “irasshai”, calling visitors and customers to watch or join).
The huge parade float moving around by as many as 30 warrior was so energetic.
Experiencing Aomori Nebuta in Tokyo is very special.
